Second Amherst Teen Goes Missing Overnight After a Pickup Lacrosse Game

A mother on Harrogate Square reported her 19-year-old son gone since 7 PM, driving a silver Volvo.

Overnight at about 2:24 AM, Amherst police put out an attempt-to-locate for a 19-year-old man whose mother, at 110 Harrogate Square, said he had left around 7 PM to play some pickup lacrosse and never came back. She described it as very out of the ordinary for him; he was driving a silver Volvo.

Cars fanned out toward the fields where he was believed to have gone. An officer later radioed that the “vehicles in the parking lot and the fields appear empty”. The traffic in this window did not report the man found.

Bystander CPR Buys Time for Man in Cardiac Arrest on Field Crest Court

West Seneca Fire Dispatch sent a reserve engine and an ambulance to 209 Field Crest Court, between Pace Crest and Leo Crest, around 5:46 PM yesterday after a passerby found a man down in cardiac arrest and began CPR before crews arrived. Crews and AMR Medic 529 out of Southgate arrived within minutes and radioed that they were working a code — an active resuscitation — while a Lucas mechanical CPR device was requested along with oxygen and suction. Additional units, including New Navit 1 and Reserve 5-1, were called to the scene as crews worked to stabilize the man; dispatch did not report his condition on the air.

West Seneca Police Respond to Eldred Avenue Self-Harm Call, Girl Also Reports Taking Pills

West Seneca Police were sent to 41 Eldred Avenue around 1:40 AM after a 911 text reported a female inside had cut herself numerous times on her arms, wrists and thighs; her parents and a sister were confirmed home but asleep. Dispatch noted the address had prior mental health contacts in April and several more in 2025, and told the responding officer to keep the person talking at the door until contact was made. Officers on scene said the cuts appeared superficial and called for AMR; minutes later, dispatch relayed that the girl said she had also taken about 20 pills of what was transcribed on the air as "metadryl" — [likely diphenhydramine, i.e. Benadryl] — within the previous five minutes, raising the possibility of a poison-control referral.
